I get painful, blister like sores on my face that go through stages and take weeks to heal. Any cures?

Question:
The sores tend to weap a lot and leave scars since they take so long to heal. They are small blisters that turn into huge sores. I'm not even sure what they really are or how to prevent them or help them heal faster. I only get these sores on my face and they started about a year and a half ago.

Answers:
Ok-you didn't say how they started.Do they start as
a small hard red bump that gets bigger and bigger
and then finally come to a head?? If so, they are
abcesses. Stress can be a factor. They are like an
upside down pimple, the pus forms under the skin and
doesn't erupt to the surface like a regular pimple.
I had a problem with that years ago...went to a
dermatologist and he tried all sorts of stuff, the usual
antibiotics, freezing them with nitrogen...nothing seemed
to work. Finally he suggested taking large doses of
Vitamin A (100,000 units) with about 30-50mg of zinc.
You can't take it for too long Vitamin A in large doses
can get toxic, but after about a week to 10 days, the
abcesses started to shrink and eventually went away.
You really need to keep from messing with them, no
trying to pop them like a regular pimple, you can get
really bad scars that way. Applying warm washcloths
helps too, plus it helps with the pain.
Anyway, every so often when the stress gets to me,
I start to get an abcess, but now I take the A and zinc
right away and it makes a huge difference.
Hope this helps, since you didn't describe exactly what
started the sores, this is just one suggestion.

You probably should see a dermatologist if you can afford
one, they will be abel to acurately diagnose what your
problem. That would be best, especially if you have a
bacterial infection (my sister had a major staph infection
and had huge blisters about 1/2 across form on her chest and
arms--she was living in the Dominican Republic and would
come home each summer with some new disease common
to a third world country, she was a missionary there for 8
years and finally had to come home permanently because
it was causing too many health problems)
So that's one reason to see a dermotologist, because
you need some serious antibiotics to deal with staph.
It could be a staph infection. its going around. does it look like a pimple, red and swollen, and hurts like hell? If it does, thats what it is and u will need Antiobiotics to get rid of it, Good luck.
