You appear to be a little confused. UTI stands for Urinary Tract Infection, which means the infection is somewhere in the urinary tract, not necessarily the bladder. Bladder infections usually present with a certain level of bacteria whereas other UTIs have more or less. If it's really bad, it could be a kidney infection, which is what you're describing plus sharp stabbing pains in your lower-to-mid back (not a backache, like someone is taking a 12-inch serrated steak knife and stabbing you in your kidneys).

There are over-the-counter products such as AZO that will help. As far as cranberry juice goes, it helps a lot with the pain. Something about it kills whatever it is that makes it hurt when you pee, which is why everyone says drink cranberry juice. I would recommend Ocean Spray 100% cranberry juice, which is a bit tart, mixed with Sprite over ice. It's the only way I could get it down, but even two glasses of that a day helped.

Also make sure you drink lots of water; it will help flush all the nasty bacteria out of your system. Drinking too many caffinated beverages will dehydrate you, which can cause a UTI in the first place (that's how I get mine). It will help relieve pain, too.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are typically treated with antibiotics, which eliminate the bacteria causing the infection. Antibiotics must be prescribed by a physician, and most are safe to use during pregnancy. Treatment varies in duration from three to 10 days depending on the type of bacteria present and the severity of the infection.

Women who are pregnant or have diabetes generally require seven- to 10-day treatment, as do patients with kidney stones. Men who experience UTIs also require longer treatment because bacteria can bury themselves deep inside the prostate tissue. Patients are instructed to complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms subside. This helps ensure that the infection is eradicated.

ok i have no idea what u just said.
Well u said that it is not an UTI. & if that was the case of an UTI then yes cranberry juice and plenty of water will clear it up but u said that it is not an UTI. Have u been tested for any STD'S, gladde bladder, kidney stones, tumor
Cranberry Juice, but read the ingredients. Most of what one thinks is cranberry juice is not really cranberry juice. Go to a health food store and get it. Also cranberry extract. Drink a lot of water. If it doesn't start to get better in a day or so, see a doctor. Good luck.
