Can you drown a tick?

Question:
Ok so i have a tick from the woods and it is in the back of my head like where the top and back of your head meet i wanted to know if you could drown them and if so how long do i have to stay under and will it just fall out when it is dead? i would burn it if i could but if i do i will catch my hair on fire and that would not be good

Answers:
soak the area where the tick is with alchohol or vaseline, this will smother it enough to make it pull it's head out of the surface- then get tweezers and tug it straight out making sure you have a good grip on its upper body so the head is not left behind- then take a lighter or match to it and flush it down the toilet.
best way to get one off is with twizzers... but make sure to get the head that is where the bad part is and pull directly up not side to side
i really don;t know if u can drown them but i always throw the ones i find in the toilet and forget about them never actually looked to see if it died, but i would think best thing to do it get it out with tweezers but use your fingers if tweezers are to hard it might actualy come out rather easy it if is big enough to get a hold of , if it is really small i would suggest having someone do it for you
