Should I get tested for Lyme Disease?

Question:
A few of my joints started aching recently and I was bit by a tick about 3 weeks ago. For some reason my doctor didn't want to do a test for Lyme Disease but she wasn't sure. Is there any reason not to get tested?
(One of my symptoms is that every morning when I wake up, the knuckles of my right hand ache.)

Thanks!

Answers:
I would if I was you. When my daughter had a tick on her, I called her doctor and they told me that if she got any flu like symptoms up to a month after the bite to bring her in.

Aching joints is a flu like symptom, I would get checked if I was you.
