You don't say how old you are or what you're using now but if it's serious you may want to see a doctor who can give good advice depending on severity. Serious acne can be treated by prescription drugs/topical creams etc. He may refer you to a dermatologist if the problem is serious.
If we are just talking outbreaks there are many cleansing brands out there - it really is a case of finding which works best but Clearasil and Oxy (ask your pharmacist) do a a broad range and Clinique's 3 step programme works for a lot of people. If you are active in sport you may just need a better cleansing programme to clear the blockages caused by sweat.
HRI do a non-prescription herbal remedy which I'm told works well.
Hope this helps.
Ok i suffered with this for years and in the end i had to go to hospital, however if i'd of known what i know now i dont think that i'd of had to go through all that.
Please check out this web site www.acne.org
On there there is a guy that shows you how to get rid using his method and i've been doing it for the last 2 years and hardly ever get a spot on my face now.
Basically what you do is this (still watch the video that the guy on the site does tho)
I hope that this helps:) i know how bad having spots is.
1. wash your face ( i use clinique soap)
2. then BP cream ( i use Oxy on the spot 2.5bp) you rub this in where you get your spots until it doesn't rub in anymore.
3. then moisturiser over the top, this stops redness and marks ect... you rub this in until its completely rubbed in aswell. ( i use Simple light hydrating moisturiser)
I told a mate of mine this technique and he had quite bad spots and within a week they had practically completely gone.
IF you dont believe me look at the site literally thousands of people worldwide use the same method daily with sucess. its a god send.
depending on your age, if you are very young, then Im afraid it comes with growing up, but if you are older than 25,
I would advice a change on your diet. perhaps you should start a diet of lots of fruit and vegetables. avoid too much saturated fat, eat healthily, and drink plenty of water.
I also recommend that you buy and wash your face in the mornings with a face wash product such as 'witch' and use a face scrub pad products which helps remove impurities on your skin.
you can buy it from tesco, boots, asda, sainsburys and farmacies.
if that does'nt help then I suggest that you contact your GP, he may be of more help.
