Is 0.25mg stronger than 0.5mg?

Question:
I had 0.25 mg of xanax, now the doctor gave me 0.5 mg.. Which is stronger.. I think he's trying to wean me off..

Answers:
I wont give you the answer because that is clear from the other responses but it doesnt sound like he is weaning you off as he has doubled your dose.
.5 is stronger.
think of it as .25 vs .50
are you serious? .5 is double .25 ..
0.5 mg is twice the dose of 0.25 mg. He just doubled it.
0.5 is stronger, 'cause 0.5 = 0.50
.5 is stronger. Its half a miligram while .25 is a fourth
.5 is twice as strong as .25.

.5 is really .50
He actually upped your dose.

Think of it this way: 1/2 is more than 1/4
.5 is stronger...think of it in tenths... .5 would be 5 tenths or reduced to 1/2 mg. .25 would be 2 tenths reduced to 1/5 of a mg
no senior .5 = .50 (1/2) which is bigger than .25 which is 1/4
I'm sorry but .5mg is twice the dosage as .25 mg. Half dose (weaning dose) down from .25mg would be perhaps approx .125.

Your doctor could also be adjusting your dose up but your frequency down. You should consult again with your doctor.
Hope that helps.
You've probably built up a tolerance to the .25 so he's upped your dose to .5 If you feel like that's too much you could ask him if you could cut them in half or else only take as needed.
0.5mg is stronger than 0.25mg.

headstrong
He's giving you twice your usual dosage. You are not being weaned off it.
