I have this red blotches and bumps around my lips...help?
I know it's not a cold sore, but it itches a lot. Around the corners of my lips, it's kinda dry, and I put vaseline on it, and it's getting better. But it keeps getting itchier, and I don't know what to do. Does anyone else know?

I had that problem once & ended up going to the doctor for it. He gave me Desonide cream. It worked wonders & it never came back. He said it was a reaction to something & that it was very likely to be the toothpaste I was using & to try & use non-flouride toothpaste. I never could find any that didn't have it in it though. are you sexually active. if so, no matter how well you know the guy, I'd visit your doc. just to make sure its nothing serious. It could be an allergic reaction. Are you using any new lotions or soaps, or have you been eating any foreign foods lately? These are all questions that you have to answer before you can start to really diagnose the issue. Im a paramedic and this is more of a medical practicionars field but I'd see a doctor if it doesnt go away within a week. Hope this helps
