What dosage of antibiotics are prescribed for a urinary tract infection?

It basically depends on the sensitive antibiotic prescribed . Generally , after the mid stream Urine culture and the commonest organisms is E coli , so the antibiotic used would be Amoxycicillin plus cluvunate 625 mg for 10 days or doxycyline 100mg 14 days or one of the cephalosporin group like cefelexin etc . Even nitrofurantion is given . so its basically depends on the culture n sensitvity test .
Cipro--either 500mg or 875 mg twice a day is common as well
I'm on 500mg of Bactrium for 10 days. But it just depends.
