Bird Lice and Humans??


Question:
Today I was working out in the yard, picked up a bird nest off of the ground and threw it out. I noticed I was getting itchy, looked and saw bird lice all over my arm and in my hair. I have showered several times with regular shampoo and dog flea,tick, and lice shampoo. I am curious as to how long I can expect to keep finding them on me because I have found a couple after showering...

Bird lice are host-specific, so you don't have anything to be worried about.
