Question:

Answers:
Yes.

Things to alleviate HSV symptoms:

cold pack ( warm salt sitz baths dry out the skin, leaving it further irritated)
Tylenol or Advil (reduce pain and swelling)
Polysporin heal fast creme (red and yellow box, this works miracles on any open wound!)
yes honey it is a sore
Many people with genital herpes experience no symptoms. When present, early symptoms include itching or burning in the genital or anal area and flu-like symptoms. Later symptoms include blisters or sores and, in women, vaginal discharge.

Genital herpes may be diagnosed during a physical examination or a routine gynecological examination. Laboratory tests, such as viral cultures (tests performed by placing a tissue sample in a container where a virus can grow) or blood tests, may be performed to confirm the diagnosis.

The first outbreak is usually the most painful. However, you can carry the herpes virus without symptoms.
The first outbreak is the worst. Usually the location you get that first outbreak at is the place you will get subsequent outbreaks. Taking meds like Valtrex will prevent or quickly help the outbreak feel better. Usually you first notice flu-like symptoms coming on, then a tender spot on the area. This area could turn into a rashy like appearance or it could form a small pimple. It could eventually rupture, and then it is painful because it is an open sore. You really want to prevent that rupture from occurring. Usually with the first you may notice swollen glands/lymph nodes from your body trying to fight it. Take ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and help with pain. Do not have sexual relations during that time as it is very contagious. After you get over the first outbreak you will know what to expect and things will be much easier for you.
If you are having an outbreak, you'd know it. It hurts.

You can have herpes and not have outbreaks, in fact most people don't.

Be sure to wash your hands really good as you can mess with blister and then touch face/eyes and transfer virus there.

Do not have sex during outbreak, it would be really painful and you can give herpes to another during that time very easily.

During my first outbreak, it was horrible.
