Routines are a HUGE part no matter what they are.
Making sure you sleep well. Not just in length but actual comfort during sleep. Restless sleep is basically NO sleep.
Taking time to relax so you aren't so tensed up. Maybe try yoga, (you said you work out?), walks and so on.
Kava-kava herbal capsules. Anti-anxiety drugs could greatly improve your quality of life. Try the natural first and see if you get benefit. Good luck
This may sound dumb but i have serious panic disorders or did and my Dr signed me up for tychai classes for relaxation and meditation and I'm here to tell you it does work. I also take a lot of medications for various medical issues so if i can find a natural way to deal with something i do lol.
Take small steps. Deal with parts of the problem and work up. If it's fear of crowds, put yourself in with a group of friends, and grow from there. Don't expect to change overnight. Avoid drugs and panaceas.
Try and get to the root of the problem, then take small steps in facing and conquering what you're afraid of. Nothing, not a new lifestyle or even excercize or hypnosis will fix this. The only thing that will is you and your own psyche.
Never take meds. Even if they work for a while, they will never fix this.
If you want some herbal treatments though, you might want to put lavender scented things in your car/house. Lavender does wonders for anxiety, I use a lavender filled stress ball whenever I have to go on a trip or something to keep myself from flipping out if I'm feeling nervous.
It is not a religious book, but a "life lessons-common sense" book called Conversations with God Book 1 by Neale Donald Walsh-
Suffering from attacks for nearly 15 years, of all people our dog groomer suggested I read it, I laughed and told her I didn't understand anything to do with God (at the time my outlook was very negative and I was frustrated). She said "read the damn book!"
I bought the book- though you can get it at the library as well, and several weeks following I noticed my attacks were not as severe, and eventually I overcame them all together.
If nothing else this book will help, along with meditation- when super stressed I put my head set on and listen to Enigma which is a cross between native american music and monk choir. It is the only music that relaxes me. It is strange when you first hear it but you grow to love it.

First, you need to know what triggers the panic attacks. In knowing the triggers, you can then deal them a little easier. This will also bring about ways to avoid the triggers. There are somethings in life that we have no control over.Realizing this should help. Exercise definitely helps. Try going for an early morning stroll, or after your evening meal. Sometimes just getting some fresh air can allow you to relax, let's your mind wander, allows you think about the important things in life, and just clears your head. Depending on what your triggers are, some people suggest taking " baby steps" in confronting your fears. In doing so, you are able to deal with the fear a little at a time. And, when you start to feel overwhelmed, change what you are doing to something positive. Something that makes you feel good about yourself. There are also breathing techniques that can help when you are having a panic attack, which are very scary. Instead of breathing from the lungs, use your tummy muscles instead. But, in all honesty, maybe just short term, you should be prescribed a mild tranquilizer. I know that this is not what you want to do but, it can help you greatly when you sense a panic attack is coming. Also, you should see a therapist so you can talk about your fears. Do you have a person in life that you can talk openly to?? There is a great book, that I have read myself, that can help you. I suffer from Panic & Anxiety myself so, I can say that I know how they feel. I hope that this has helped and Good Luck.
Beat Panic & Anxiety by John Illman/Rita Carter.
identify the reason you are having an attack, and try to isolate it. then when you feel an attack come on, do deep breathing excercises such as you would do in a lamaze class, then again try to rationalize in your mind what you are panicking about and go from there.
