Is it possible to give yourself a fever....?

I have a friend who I am concerned about. She gets frequent high fevers (almost daily) with no other symptoms and the doctors cannot explain it. I have been in the room with her, so I know it's not a trick such as a hot lightbulb or something. This may sound mean, but I know her and she has pulled things before for attention. Is it POSSIBLE at all to make yourself sick in this manner? PLEASE help! Thank you!

How good are natures cure two-part system acne tablets?

Answer:
She might not be giving herself the fever, but she may be giving herself something to CAUSE a fever. Some medications can cause a fever, and she could be taking them beforehand. If she's doing things for attention, try and talk to her. She'll much rather talk to a close friend then someone she thinks is a spy. Let her work out her problems on her own, and don't rush things, but do offer a helping hand to let her know she's not alone.

Does any one know what the acronym PREMPRO -the hormone replacement- stands for? Thanks very much?

No. Fever is your bodies way of fighting or passing an infection. Hope this helps.

Can anyone diagnose this problem, please answer?

I think it is. I have seen people that were totally fine, suddenly claim to be sick and throw up, I have seen people hold on to fever and sickness longer than is necessary for the attention. The mind is an incredible organ and by thinking about something, I think you can make it happen. I think your friend could very well be giving herself her own fever for attention. I'm not saying that she definitely is, just don't rule it out.

It is possible that your friend may be making herself sick or she may really have a medical problem. As for her temperature...how high is high? Is there any reason you can think of as to why she needs attention?

Suggest to her that she be screened for a hormonal imbalance and if that's negative, she should consider mental health services to rule out a psychological motivation.
