How long would a person with stage 4 ovarian cancer live?

There is a stated life expectancy - based on the average of how long the population with such cancer live.but everyone varies some.
I know a woman who was dx with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. Told it was a rare and highly untreatable variety. . She has survived 4 years so far and her most recent prognosis is "Very good".
So, the stated life expenctancy is not something etched in stone and I'd offer that you should not take any stated time frame and make that what you expect.

I knew someone who had stage x and the doctors in the us told her three months. the cancer had metastesize to her liver already. But she didn't give up and instead went to singapore for her cancer treatment. she lived for 3-4 more years after they told her 3months. so it might depend on the patients will to live
Only the good Lord can answer that question. There is just no way to put a time limit on those types of things. I am a nurse and I have seen the time vary a great bit.
I hate to be a downer right now but once you hit stage 4 you are near the end of your life because that's when the cancer gets very aggresive and the body can't fight against it anymore. May God be with you as you go thru this and i hope all the best works out for the best for you. God Bless.
I could be wrong but I believe stage 4 is when a cancer has spread to tissues and organs outside of the the originial site. It depends on the aggresivesness of the cancer. Is the liver involved? Is it in the brain. It probably really depends on what organs have been invaded...
don't pay attention to the prognosis that doctors or people give.
it really depends on the persons will to live.
if he or she will put up a good fight, they can live for many more years. and some will even fall into remissions.
miracles do happen.
