Should I get another chicken pox vaccine?

Question:
My OB asked me if I had the chicken pox. I told her back in 1990 I was living in FL and that when the chicken pox vaccine was introduced. I had recieved the shot. Alot of my friend havent even heard of the vaccine. Well she had told me that even when you get the vaccine as a child, you can get them as an adult, because the vaccine only elimates, and makes it not as worst. So you think I should get another vaccine to be safe??

Answers:
No...I had the vaccine as a child and haven't gotten the chicken pox. I was always told that if you didn't get them after the shot you won't get them.
No. If this particular vaccine requires a booster shot every so many years, then get another one then. If it doesn't require a booster shot, then nobody is going to give it to you again. Remember, vaccines are foreign substances to the body. Even though they help to prevent major diseases, there are still risks when receiving one. So, don't play around with medications, please.
