Aloe vera, or buy a product in the suntan lotion isle made for sunburn.
If it is peeling, the worst of the burn is over. Now the dead skin will have to come off. There is no way to stop it.
Baths in oatmeal are soothing, buy a product called Aveeno or add your own oatmeal, (wrap it in a thin dish cloth) to your bath and soak at least 20 mintues.
Sorry, wish there were an easier way!
You can, however, take motrin, asprin, or tylenol for the pain. You'll be amazed that it can really take the 'edge' off the hurt.

Aloe straight from the plant is best. Open it up and lay it gooey side down right on the skin for a while.
Vitamin E oil , aloe. when it stops hurting the very best thing is PAlmers cocoa butter- it will stop the peeling. My step daughte just showed me that a few weeks ago in florida nad it helped- I thought I knew everything about skincare :)
