In laymens' terms, what exactly is "flatulence?"?

Question:
Where does it come from, what causes it...

is it in the genes?

Is there a cure for it?

Explain it to me like I'm 3 years old.

Answers:
It's gas, farting, letting one loose. There is no cure unless you choose not to eat. Which might cause a problem after about the 3rd to 5th day. Although I've heard that Beano works.
passing gas
farting
no it is not in the genes it is natural
try beno lol
you have gas in your tummy, your tummy rumbles, and you pass gas out your bottom
It can have a lot to do with diet. Certain foods cause mroe gas than others. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet, lots of dark green veggies! Beano every day can help a lot.
It's feeling a little "gassy". Like, you tummy is rumbling or you are "passing gas". It's in everyone's genes. The only cure for it is to avoid those foods and beverages which you know cause you to experience this phenomenon.

And...for the three year old in you.
"Flatulence is when your bottom burps!"
