Do I have testicular cancer?
Question:
But in the last few days I have had some strange feelings down there.
The scrotum skin is kinda thick and I´m worried it may be liquid or something. Also there is some discomfort at the tip of my penis. Also some discomfort around my groin.
There are no lumps on the testes.
I'm beginning to worry.
Am I facing something dangerous?
Answers:
Your doctor should have given you an ultrasound, which will usually identify what sort of lump/tumor you have. When you say upper groin do you mean lower abdominal (above the penis) or the testicular region? Try finding a urologist and explain to him your concerns. There are some pretty simple tests to determine if you have testicular cancer, such as the aforementioned ultrasound, along with a blood test to test your tumor markings. But if you have no lumps in your testicles then that's a good sign you don't have cancer. Lumps are prevalent in 60-75% of all patients with testicular cancer. My feeling is that you might have a hernia or enlarged lymph nodes, but the only way to tell is with an ultra sound or a mri. In any case you need to get a definite answer.
Best of luck to you.
If you have any concerns or questions like that, by all means get to a Urologist in a hurry. Only a medical professional can answer a question like that. Do not wait!
