I have records saying I got three hepatitis shots done? for which hepatitis could it be?
Question:
Answers:
Hep B shots are given over a course of three shots, but there is also an A & B vaccine where on the first & third dose the A & B are combined. It's called Twinrix. You'd have to look at your shot record to determine if it's solely the Hep B or the combination of A & B.
Hepatitis A & B shot given day one
Hepatitis B - 2nd shot , given 30 days later
Hepatitis A & B shot given 5 months later
There is now a fast track A & B vaccine that can be given over a three week period with a booster shot at 12 months.
Hope this helps. Best wishes.
It depends you need to ask your health care provider. The most commonly given hepatitis injection is your hep. B. Like I said get in touch with your health care provider to make sure.
There are vaccines for hepatits A and B. There are none for C. Being a firefighter, I have both. I also get a booster shot every year from work because of the work I do. Like all vaccines, you occasionally need a booster shot. So the third may be a booster shot for either type. I haven't heard of a combination booster for both, but hat doesn't mean it's not out there.Talk to your doctor about it.
You also never said when the shots were from. It could also be a tetanus booster. You're supposed to get one of them every five years or so, or when you get a puncture wound.
Three shots go to the Hepatitis B vaccine.
