Question:
I am a red head pale skin with some freckles here and there. I haven't really tried to tan, but the one or so times that i did tan i really didn't get that much darker. Whats wrong? Am i unable to tan? If so does anyone know of some good stuff that may give me more healthy color?

Answers:
red heads dont tan well....youll most likely just burn ...sorry=(
don't tan or use tanning products they can both give you cancer or skin disese be thankful of your european heritage hannah is that you
You may also not have much melanomin in your body. That's the hormone that's responsible for the darkening color that you get from tanning and/or sun damage.

With that said, tanning is NOT a safe thing to do. You are quite literally burning your skin which may cause skin cancer among other skin problems and can make your skin look worse and worse as you age. If that's not bad enough, the more you tan and damage your skin, the less elasticity it has, and the less your skin can stretch or recover from stretching. That means typically worse stretch marks from pregnancy, gaining then losing weight, and possibly ripping or otherwise damaging your skin if you stretch it too much.

There are so many reasons you shouldn't tan. please don't do it just for a temporary look.
