Can you catch AIDs off of a dog?
Question:
Answers:
Well, no... AIDS cannot be transmitted between humans and animals because of the genetic difference. Many viruses cannot cross the species barrier, as it cannot accumulate for the genetic difference between species. Just as humans cannot get Feline Immunodeficiency virus, animals cannot get HIV- as indicated in the name Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
Suppose AIDS could in fact break the species barrier among human and dogs. The way you had indicated in your question isn't even a way you can contract AIDS via human to human interaction. Saliva, though it carries the AIDS virus, is not potent enough to transmit the disease. You would have to intake gallons of saliva in order to get the virus like that.
