Personally...aside from everything everyone else has already said (for me I would do all those secondly... they wouldn't be my first priority)~ The VERY first thing I would do is cry, I'd be very angry...at myself and at the person who i had unprotected sex with. I would want to know who I contracted it from (most people would know...but some wouldn't at first), I would want to know if they already knew they had it, but slept with me unprotected anyway... i'd get to the bottom of all that first and deal with that issue accordingly.. then I would contact anyone I had sex with between the time of sleeping with the infected person who gave it to me and the time I got a positive test...then II'd move on to focussing on this so called "normal life" I could learn to have... And I'd be very careful not to put anyone else at risk of catching my "normal life"
I would live a normal life.....because that is what you do when you contract a disease or virus that you cannot get rid of. I would be very careful, careful not to transmit the problem to others. I would make certain that anyone with whom I had been sexual, knew about my condition. I would see a doctor on a regular basis, finding out my viral load and my CT 4 count, to check if I needed particular medications. I would watch, carefully, not to be around anyone with shingles, chickenpox, and if I got MRSA, I would go directly to the Dr., immediately, to get the meds to get rid of MRSA while it had just begun. I would read all I could about HIV. I would take any and all precautions that I could to make sure I didn't give it to anyone. I would continue to work, to play, and to realize that I might live a normal life span.
be honest about it would not want to infect any other people live my life as if I was going to live forever
contact the people i have engaged in any sexual acts with in the past to inform them and live my life with precautions to stay healthy
contact the people you had unprotected sex with, seek treatment, have no more unprotected sex and take care of yourself
you take your medication on time everyday, and you get on with life like you normally would, medication for HIV is so advanced that i won't be surprised if you live a full life. also, if you are sexually active, be sure to inform your sexual partner, and always always always use condoms consistently (all the time).
I will learn how to enjoy every day, I would do a prevention campaign, informing people about the disease, I would have only protected sex. Take all the medication, being happy and change my mind, replace all bad thinkings for positive ones.
To live as long as possible with the disease by taking medications, eat healthy, exercise, change any negative thoughts and have a positive approach. It has been known that these things can prolong your life. And, of course, notify my loved ones and my partner. For someone who has been promiscuous, then contact these people. How about taking a dream vacation and spend money like crazy.
