Mosquitoes swallowed by Mistake! Help?

I have understood from facts that mosquitoes cannot transmit aids through biting a person's skin. But what if anyone swallows it unknowingly. Its happened a couple of times to me when riding . I mean by mistake. What if that particular mosquito actually sucked a person with AIDS and I swallowed it. I'm scared. I have this kind of a phobia.

Don't worry about it it wont get into you blood stream.
first off you would have a better chance of getting west nile then aids but if you swallowed them more then once and your still here you'll probably be fine, do like people that ride motor cycles do either keep you mouth closed or use your teeth as a bug screen.
I read the same question in a magazine somewhere. It's very unlikely, like a .000001% chance.
The acid in your stomach is so strong, there is no virus, aids or otherwise that could live through it.
The aids virus is actually a very weak virus and dies easily. That's why you can't get it from sitting on toilet seats or other easily transmitted ways. It even dies at room temperature.
The only way it could be transmitted is through direct blood contact and mosquitos are not able to transmit aids through their bites. They suck up blood, not inject it.
You are perfectly safe, although I'm sure they don't make a nice snack! LOL

You should not worry about such things. You can not get the HIV virus from swallowing a mosquito, knowingly or otherwise. Now go ride your bike.
The virus that causes AIDS is not that tough. Your stomach would do a number on it, and it would not survive the trip. Even if the mosquito was chock full of HIV positive blood, that's not how it's transmitted. So don't worry about the bugs you eat- it's just extra protein, nothing else. That stomach acid is a really good defense. Just think of it as getting back for all the times they bit you.
If such mosquito bites also, one may get AIDS (according to your theory ie) swallowing may be less risky as virus will be destroyed by acidic gastric juice!
First of all, you must close your mouth when riding...Secondly, the acid in your stomach would deal with it.
Wear a mask. Are you positive they were mosquitoes? Never heard of anyone getting aids that way. The mosquitoes are taking your blood not depositing any.

i like snails myself, if ur worried get checked by a doctor. and have a hiv test done. nats r the best, eatting. and chocolate covered ants. now thats some good eattin.
you are WAY too worried about HIV... yes its a big deal and something people should take seriously... but come on you're just sitting around thinking about paranoid ways you might get it... (or you got it and now you're trying to explain it with some ridiculous story)... you need to talk to a certified mental health professional and talk to them about this... tell them you're coming up with some bizarre ideas about obscure ways to contract HIV... they'll help you out.
