How many grams of fiber only will help defecation?

Question:
I mean how many grams of fiber should i take in to make sure defecation occur?

Answers:
The American Heart Association says "Dietary fiber intake among adults in the United States averages about 15 grams. The Institute of Medicine recommends consuming 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories you need."
I think other sources generally recommend at least 25 grams a day, though most people in U.S. probably get far less. It probably takes less than that for regularity but fiber is valuable for other things also.
The easiest way to add fiber is with psyllium seed in Metamucil or cheaper generic store versions of it. When you do increase fiber intake, do the increase gradually to give your body time to adjust to it.
