Strep Throat

Most sore throats are caused by viruses. These are often mild and go away in a few days. But strep throat is more serious. It's a throat infection caused by bacteria. Strep throat mainly affects children between 6 and 12 years of age, but can affect adults too. When it isn't treated, it can lead to serious problems including rheumatic fever (an inflammation of the joints and heart) and kidney damage.

When to Go to the Emergency Room (ER)
Call 911 for trouble breathing or swallowing. Call the doctor about other symptoms of strep throat, such as:

Throat pain, especially when swallowing

Red, swollen tonsils

Swollen lymph glands

Fever

Stomachache; sometimes, vomiting in younger children

Pus in the back of the throat

What to Expect in the ER
An examination will be done and questions asked about the patient's medical history.

The patient's tonsils will be examined. A sample of fluid may be taken from the back of the throat using a soft swab. The sample can be checked right away for the bacteria that cause strep throat. Another sample may also be sent to a lab for testing.

An antibiotic may be prescribed to kill the bacteria. The patient must take all the medication, even if he or she starts to feel better. (Note that antibiotics will not help a viral throat infection.)

If swallowing is very painful, painkilling medication may also be prescribed.

Easing Strep Throat Symptoms
These tips can help make a person with strep throat more comfortable:

Try soft, easy-to-swallow foods, such as soup, applesauce, and yogurt.

Use a cool-mist humidifier in the bedroom.

Gargle with saltwater (for older children and adults only). Mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz of warm water.

When to Call Your Doctor
Call your doctor if the patient has finished the treatment for strep throat and has:

A fever

Joint pain or swelling

Shortness of breath

Rash

I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

You may just have a cold.
I would definately see a doctor about that. It could be several things from a cold, allergies, upper respiratory infection..to more serious things such as strep throat or mononucleosis. Until then, gargling with salt water helps temporarily heal soreness (since salt is a healing agent)

2 tablespoons of salt to one cup of luke warm water.

Good luck and get well soon!
there is this thing called "miracle" or something, it is cherry it is over the counter and sold for cold soars, but it gets ride of sour throats really fast.
Sounds like either a throat infection or strep throat. Both require antibiotics. Could also be a virus, which you have to wait out.
There are several reasons why your throat could be sore. Straining your voice(like shouting in a concert, singing, etc.) could make your throat sore. If you did those things, then your sorethroat will dissappear in 3-5 days as long as you rest them. However, another reason could be is that your throat or the surrounding organs(trachea, epiglottis, etc.) could be infected.

So I suggest to you to go see a Doctor so that you can have that Throat inspected by an ENT so that they can determine whats the best solution for your situation.
Go see the nearest chiropractor. You probably have your atlas or occiput out of place. Remember to relax when you get adjusted. If you don't, you'll be sore tomorrow. So go see a chiropractor right away. Your sore throat will be gone before your birthday.
I wouldn't worry about it unless you have swollen lymph nodes in your neck that persist. Strep throat will cause you have swollen lymph nodes. If you have a fever it is most likely strep and you will need an antibiotic. If the lymph nodes persist after this and you have MAJOR fatigue, and a fever I would get checked for mononucleosis (the kissing disease), which is spread too by drinking after people, etc.
I use a quick home remedy for my hay fever symptoms which can be cause by allergies from dairy products like milk, butter or cheese that are filled with allergens. I have Strep symptoms like you have. If your hay fever cause by allergies from daily products quit consuming this food. Go vegan! Take a Tyleynol for pain, fever and Garlic ordorless gel pills take as recommended on the bottle it's a potent antibiotic and gargle with warm water with salt. Hay fever can also give fever and sinus infection. If your symptoms persists still consult with your doctor because strep can develop also. Happy Birthday and I hope I helped you! :)
Most likely this is fun little party in your mouth is strep throat. Definitely if it is painful when you swallow. Strep throat requires antibiotics, so you'll need to see a doctor right away especially if you want to be better by your birthday. A simple strep test can determine what's the matter. Good Luck and Happy Birthday!

Ways to Help With the Pain:

-Tea with honey in it
-Chloraseptic spray
-Throat drops
-Yogurt, Ice cream, and other smooth, creamy foods
- Water also helps to keep your throat from getting dry
It could be any one of dozens of causes. You need to visit your doctor and have him/her take a look, possible take a culture. In the mean time, take an over the counter pain killer like Tylenol or Advil, drink plenty of fluids, gargle with warm salty water (don't swallow it!), and get plenty of rest. This should help you feel better until you get to a doctor.

I would start by taking raw apple cider vinegar with honey (2-4 tablespoons of each) and warm water, gargle with it and then swallow it 3-4X daily. Apple cider vinegar will eat away at the bad bacteria that is living in your throat. I also use goldenseal, an herb which has antibacterial and healing qualities. You may want to go to the health food store and find out more about the use of this herb.
It depends what kind of infection you have in your throat and how you deal with it that will determine how quickly it will go away. You may need to see a doctor but do try the vinegar first. I would recommend that you look into how to build your immune system to help keep the germs at bay in the future.
It sounds like strep, go2 the doctor!
If you have allergies then it is probably just because you have sinus drainage which can also cause your stomoch to hurt but it could be strep or cold. Try taking Mucinex or however it is spelled
Sounds like it could be post nasal drop, a sore throat, or a swollen tonsil. I would say that its a post nasal drop and if you are taking any nasal spray I would say discontinue it because it does make it worse and instead take medication that isnt a spray. If its allergies take benadryl if its a cold take vicks or robitussin.
