ive just this past week learned of this product. i havent tried it yet, but have heard the raves. i want to also try it, even though i dont have cancer. how can it hurt? take the info packet of the product to the oncologist. they should be much more apt to answer than I can and this way its safer in case of anything interfering w/traditional chemo-type drugs. good luck!
It won't stop or slow down the progression of cancer but if you like the taste and can afford it than it may be okay. Ask your doctor if it will intefere with your treatments. Remember though that tumors are a part of your body. The body does not recognize cancer as being foreign and will nourish and make it strong. Be careful that you don't make your cancer strong too.

The biggest problem with mangosteen is that is being pushed by marketers and distributers with a ton of advertising and hype. It's very expensive and there is no evidence that it helps if you have cancer. Orange juice is less expensive and does the same thing.
I agree 100% with what Panda has to say.

Unfortunately where there is cancer there are charlatans eager to relieve the patient and their family of cash in exchange for non-proven or outright bogus cures. I notice you have asked about a few of these; please be cautious about parting with your money for them and remember that the testimonials are just anecdotal - you have no way of knowing that the person claiming a miracle cure ever had cancer in the first place.

In the case of mangosteen, this is being pushed very hard at the moment. A number of people have recently joined YA specifically to sell it and in one case at least have set up a Question and Best Answer between two of them.

The questioner had posted over a dozen answers recommending mangosteen and giving a website for it and saying how he had benefited from it ON THE SAME DAY he posted this question! - which was also the day he joined btw.

In other categories, though interestingly not in Cancer, the people promoting mangosteen boast of how much money they make from selling it. 'Nuff said.

EDIT: re the Q and A I've linked to here, on closer inspection it's clear the questioner and the answerer are the same person - he directs himself to his own website!
