How do you get rid of dandruff without buying expensive products?

Question:
Are there any home remedies for getting rid of dandruff? Inexpensive yet effective ways of healing a dry scalp?

Answers:
just wash your hair!
The generic brand of Head & Shoulders works just as well as the name brand. It has the same ingrediants...just look on the back of the bottle and compare! The generic brand is only about $3 for a big bottle.

That said, no I don't know of any home remedies for dandruff.
dont shower with such hott water rinse head with cool water, Do not use HOT Blow dryer try to not using conditioner or shampoo for a few weeks. Head and shoulders is not expensive, work vasoline into scalp if all else fails go back to using just shampoo and dry hair thoroughly & quickly with towel after you showers
U can use camphor tablets with coconut oil, put 2tabs.in some oil(as per ur hair density) heat it a little so that the tab. gets melted and apply it in ur scalp with the help of cotton, leave it overnite and wash ur head next morning. This is the best home remeady,it really works, I'm doing the same these days. Had tried twice and got unexpectedly good result.

it's not a home remedy, but Neutrogena T Gel works wonders. Every once in a while, I get flaky, too, and this works the best for me.
