When you get a blood test before surgery -- what does it look for?

Question:

Answers:
It is probably a CBC or complete blood count and a bleeding time count. These test to make sure you don't have an existing infection, that your blood cell counts are normal, and that your blood is able to clot properly. Clotting is what your blood does to keep you from bleeding to death.
THEY CHECK,TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFECTIONS,AND TO SEE IF YOUR LEVELS ARE BALANCED,AND TO SEE IF YOU WON'T BLEED TO DEATH ON THE TABLE..
it more depends on what the surgery is for. It mostly would look for like if you have any problems, and if you would be okay if the surgery was done.

it depends on the surgery tho.
