Does tea make blood pressure up?

Question:
i have blood pressure and i drink 3 to 4 cups of tea daily ,somtimes i mix it with milk,i want to know if the tea rise blood pressure?

Answers:
The amount of caffeine in the tea may be the deciding factor. caffeine is a stimulant and can increase your pressure if taken in large amounts especially.
Only if you drink it in excess..
Tea, contains one mild stimulant called "thebaine" a derivative of xhantines , similar to those such as caffeine...
However it is true only if you are already hypertensive before you drank too much tea,,,,it does not apply for common non hypertensive guys...
Some tea can do that. I have no idea if it is the caffeine or the theobromine, or something else.

A friend with high blood pressure is only allowed one cup of tea per day by her doctor.
