Spleen enlargement?

Question:

I just learned that my spleen is enlarged and I am waiting for labs. I am in moderate pain. Pain with breaths and after eating small amount of food. I have no fever and vitals are normal. Started with lymph nodes in front of neck swelling then going down. Now my spleen is enlarged. What do you think.

I'd be willing to bet it's viral, but I'm no doctor. My daughter recently had a stomach virus that was anything but normal. It did not present typically and the main symptom was pain and inflammation of the abdominal region. She had no fever and vitals were normal. Her spleen was not enlarged, like yours, BUT she had the swollen lymph nodes (some in the abdominal area) and the spleen is part of the lymph system which fights infections. Obviously only time will tell when your labs come back and hopefully they will indicate that this is just a passing viral infection. Best wishes to you, article link attached.

It could be something as simple as a bacterial infection or something as major as lymphoma. Good luck, you're in my thoughts.
