workouts to trim thighs?

Question:
ok this is embarrassing. I have lost a few inches on my thighs/hips/waist. but my thighs are the size I want my waist to be and my waist is the size I want my hips to be! what workouts have helped you most to trim your thighs? (also waist, tummy, or hips) I am especially concerned with thighs because they RUB TOGETHER when I walk!! I hate it!!

Answers:
Toning/spot fat loss is a myth, unfortunately. The only way to "trim" your thighs is to lose overall fat. And to lose fat, you must take in less calories than you spend in the day. Metabolism is a factor, and there are ways to boost it temporarily(i.e. at a track, run the straights and sprint the curves, or walk/run depending on how often you exercise). You should also eat 6 smaller meals a day, instead of 3 big ones, to spread out your digestion so you're always working on something.

Avoid pills and weird diets, as well as fancy bodypart specific workout equipment. Only a lifestlye change will help you keep off any weight you will lose. Shoot for 5 pounds a month. Any weight loss more than that is just dangerous, and increases the chances you'll yo-yo back to your old weight.

Other Answers:
Walk at least 4 times a week for 45 minutes + per session. Stop eating carbs after 5pm. Also, perform 2 sets of elevated or normal lunges for 22-25 reps. Start off by using your body weight and then eventually work up to 15lb dumbbells.
