What type of dances are best to lose weight, and how often should you do it?

I need to know what kind of dance to do along with my sit ups

The best thing to do is any excercise.
As long as the output of your heart rate is higher then your intake, calories, you will loose weight, no matter what you do.

If you want to take a class, I suggest taking a jazz class. It's really fun and it gives you good exercise.
U might not be conversant with dances if I have 2 name them. So, I tell u, the one involves using every part of your body.
I would say pilates because you are constantly controlling an area of your body. After pilates, take a jazz class. To continue this, constantly play upbeat music at home. You will more likely work out with music playing-ultimately losing weight. Dancing will cause you to lose a ton of weight because so many calories are burned! I am a competitive dancer and I am at the studio everyday for 4-6 hours each day. It works out great for me! Good luck!

the best would probably be hip hop because you move your body a lot and you sweat and sweat makes you loose weight..If you really wanna go extreme you could take cheer-leading or tumbling you get your body really stretched out and its fun to learn new things.You should probably do it maybe 1 time a day or even more my friend lost 10 lbs in 2 days because she dance for 8 hours. now that's what i call a-ma-zing! ha ha hope this works ! :)
