My older sister has very large calves. She is overweight?

but gradually losing through exercise and diet. Her legs are still large. What will make her lose more in her legs? I see many women who are more overweight than she is that don't have large legs.

Answers:
Do more squats, running, and swimming. Though the calf muscles will increase they will lean out a bit, loosing any fat that remains. If her muscles are a concern then I'd suggest less leg exercises and more upper body.

She could workout and do squats or run

do leg exercises.. or she has muscle legs. legs that are thick from muscles. some ppl r just like this and no diets can help. maybe excercises that lengthen the muscle not bulk it up like yoga.


Some body types just INCLUDE large calves.
Others develop them.
NOT necessarily from being overweight too, it can be caused by water retention, thyroid problems and some other specific conditions. im guessing it is YOU who has the large calves.

the reason is because they are probably muscle formed to carry the immense weight that "her" body was carrying.

but not to worry, if "she" loses weight, eventually the muscles will not be needed, so they could shrink.


another possability is that its actually fat, in which case you want to hold some weight, and continuously stand on your tiptoes, then go flat on your feet.
