What do you eat when you're on a low carb diet?
Question:
Answers:
Well, it depends if you are on a low glycemic carb diet, or just low carb (not eating many carbs at all). A low glycemic carb diet is better, because it allows you more food choices, like the green leafy veges. On a low glycemic carb diet, you can have as much iceberg lettuce and spinach as you can hold.
Avoid starchy foods like potatoes, grains and cereals, and corn.
You can eat meat, while poultry and fish (especially salmon and tuna) are the best, even beef and pork are ok. You can have "good" fats, such as almonds, peanuts, olive oil, and even butter, if used in moderation.

Fruit Salad, lay off the sweets. Stick to health foods like soy milk, tofu, veggies, and meat without all that grease. lots and lots of protine
mostly veggies and lean meats.
Your ok if it's in the meat group. Eggs are a good choice. Everything else, read labels on food very carefully.
If you're excercising you need to eat carbs. It's a known fact and if you don't eat them before or after working out your results will be absolutely minimal. But otherwise eat as much of a balance diet as you can. Eat right during the day and after dinner/supper eat something you feel like eating to make sure all your body's chemical reactions and balances go along fine. LOCW CARB FOOD
like chetos and pretzels and pizza nad uhmmm bread yeah lots of that and ooh doughnuts love them too
I see a lot of people recommending fruits and veg but they, too, can be loaded with carbs. People will argue "good" carbs vs. "bad" carbs but carbs are carbs. Pre-packaged food almost always has sugar (in some form) added and is some cases, a lot of it! Think lean meat, nuts (high in fat), cheese (goat cheese - yum). Do a web search for high-protein foods. lots of meat and cheese (which are high in fat and the cheese will make you constipated) and a little veggies, and very little fruit..
Low carb diets aren't the best bet for everybody. Everyone's body is different!
The best start to any low carb diet to do research. All carbs turn to sugar in the body. Stay away from white things such as sugar, white flour, potatoes, rice, etc. These have carbs that just turn to sugar and therefore raises your blood sugar.
The only fruits you can eat that is low carb is berries at the beginning of losing weight. Apples and grapes have much natural sugar that it will spike your blood sugar.
I have been low carbing for 2 years and love it! Never plan on changing my way of eating even though I reached my goal in 8 months. Eating low carb I can know for certain that the outfit I pull out of the closet will fit every time. I am maintaining!
