I eat nuts after a workout. macadamia, sunflower, cashew and pistachio.I only eat 2 eggs a week because there is eggs in bread. I eat beans and rice together because they make a complete protein. and always drink 8 glasses of fresh water a day. I work out every day. I don't drink the protein shakes because too much protein causes kidney/renal problems and the shakes are too filling. I eat fruit , especially citrus but a few hours before or after working out so that the asorbic acid does not interfere with muscle activity (lactic acid).
My brother works out. I would say two eggs no more than three because even though they contain protein they have a lot of cholestoral. If you would like a lot of protein eat some beans!
Your eggs should be limited to just a few a week because of the cholesterol (the yellow part) in it. If you like eggs, eggbeaters is a good substitute.
If you're eating well, you shouldn't need a protein shake, we Americans get more than we need actually. Hope this helps..
I WOULD ONLY EAT 2 EGGS AN HAVE WATER OR A PROTEIN SHAKE. AN A APPLE OR A HALF OF LEMON.
ok, rule of thumb, everything in moderation. 6-8 eggs is plenty in a week. two is fine. it is a good source of protein and if your bulking it's fine. don't stress out that your not building too much mass, your body knows it's limit and what it can do. too much is un-natural and unsightly. big meals are done by body builders during their off time to bulk up and then work out the exchange the fat to lean muscle. that's how its done.
