Hammer Curl?

Question:
What Muscles does the Hammer Curl effect?

Answers:
Hammer curls optimizes the brachioradialis (bow-string muscles) contribution to the exercise. The biceps brachii and brachialis still contribute. The last person mentioned the shoulderd involvement. This is not fully true. The two heads of the biceps cross the shoulder joint, but they are not flexing the shoulders in this movement. Other muscles of the shoulder are not participating in the flexion over the elbow. Visit Cloud9Fitness.com to have your questions answered by doctorates of medicine and physical therapy.
Hammer curls still work your biceps but they also do a good job on your forearms and a bit in your shoulders too. I like em better than regular bicep curls, even though i still do em.
