I have stopped eating sugar for last 1 month and I gained 3 lbsWHY?

Have you been working out? If so them you have gained muscle weight. Count your calories and limit yourself to an amount ideal for your size. Stick with it and you will see results. If you are exercising you will see even quicker results.
If you've been replacing low-fat sugary things with higher fat foods, then that will cause you to store more fat and therefore gain weight. Have you been looking at the fat and nutritional content of the foods that you are eating instead of the sugar foods? Also if you have been exercising a lot, you might be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat.
If you have been hardcore dieting and you are still gaining lots of weight, then that could be a sign of Cushing's disease.
