Has anyone tried to lose weight or stop smoking by doing the ear stapling?

A friend of mine and his wife had it done (St. Louis) over a year ago and have had no desire to smoke since then. I smoke about a pack a day, had the procedure done at the same place and had little success. Had it done a second time (free) had a cigarette on the way home. It seems that it works for some but not others. Might be worth a try.good luck.
