Hmm.. don't know about 30 pounds, but I've lost 20 in 2 months before. Exercise every day (6 days a week), alternating high impact aerobics and weight training (incl. squats, lunges, push ups). Rigorous diet, high protein, low carb, low fat. 8 cups water / tea and no cheating.

First, it is mostly not your fault that you need to lose weight.
