is this a myth?
Question:
Answers:
It really depends on the overall amount of weight you lose. If you lose more than 50 pounds, there may be excess skin. Skin loses it's elasticity over time when excess weight is put on. Therefore, if you lose the weight, the skin is stretched and will not go back to it's original shape.
Other Answers:
It isn't actually extra skin, it's sagging of the skin. The best way to avoid sagging skin caused by weight loss is to follow an exercise regimen that allows good muscle toning while dieting.
hmmm. my doc said 2 pounds a week is all I should be losing. and the extra skin is from losing weight. Walk to tone up . its not a myth. not extra skin its the stretched skin you already have from weight gain. it takes time and excercise to get back into shape
