Answers:
Take it slow then. Do a little excercise regular and often and gradually increase it. And stop smoking if it bothers you that much!

Other Answers:
You're right it won't.
wot took you so long, quit smoking would be a start.
Hire a personal trainer.
same here im scared i will die
stop smoking
Start slow. Walking would be the best way to start.
your body will cope-- just start slow start walking at least 15 min per day
Well the first thing you need to do is give up smoking. Anything else you do will be pointless unless you do that first.
Slow and easy to start with and gradualy build up to a full routine.

Any exercise is better than none.
it took you ten years to learn you need to exercise...
first quit smoking, then start off on a very light exercise routine!!! Eat right and start taking care of yourself so that you have many more years here :) Good luck!
Your body is more restorative than you think. Start with something slow and easy, like walking for 15-20 minutes a day. Then you can gradually increase the amount of time as well as the pace.

Once you feel the effects and want more of a challenge, try something you enjoy and will therefore stick with on a regular basis. It doesn't matter what the exercise, as long as it gets your heart rate up.

And...not to lecture because I know you've heard it before. But if you can quit smoking, you'll feel so much better!

Good luck! :)
Start slow. Just walk about 30 minutes a day at least 4 days a week. Then take it up to an hour. Then walk faster. Then start jogging part of it... and so on and so on. Build up to it.
yes your body will cope.......... just fine. You are young still and just because you haven't excersised in 10 years doesn't mean you should be discouraged from doing it now. Your body will feel better as you work out........ trust me, I have been working out now for 2 weeks and my body is loving me for it........ I am also slowing down on my smoking so I can quit..... for my bodies sake. You should try to, too. Best of luck and wishes.... work out your body will love you for it.
WALK
somewhere interesting?
and increase as you see well
if you want join a quit group
MORE EXCUSES!!! GET UP AND GO MOMMA!! IT'S THE ONLY WAY! start slow and work your way up my first bike ride was just down the street a little ways, my husband had to help me back to the house! I kept riding and in a couple weeks i could ride anywher wanted!! I lost over 50lbs!! you can too! now get off here and go for a walk, ride a bike just get moving!! oh i also quit drinking soda, quit eating fast food. and now months later i've quit smoking!! GOOD LUCK STICK WITH IT YOU CAN DO IT!!!
See your old sneakers . Put them on. Stop worrying about and do something about it.
Congratulations on wanting to start to exercise. One of the the main things you need to do is consult with your doctor before ever entering into a n exericse routine. He/she may be able to help you find one to start that would be easier on yous ince it has been 10 years. Also it is reccommended that you stop smoking. If I can quit then you can quit. I smoked for 6 years straight one pack a day and one day it just made me so sick to my stomach, I couldn't do it anymore. I got tired of it. I feel so much healthier now than I ever have before. ie xerpcise 3 times a week, 30 mins a day, and that is my perfect stress release. if you wan to get healthy you MUST get rid of th toxins youa re putting into your body. Going ot your doctor is the first step.
1. stop smoking
2. ask your doc.
3. pray
of course it will. just take it slowly. i had my fifth child 3 years ago, now i'm playing rugby and belly dancing and still smoking - hopefully not for much longer. after the first couple of weeks you'll start to feel the benefits. don't give up and eventually you'll be enjoying it. find something fun so you won't give up, that's why i chose rugby - what can be more fun than mud wrestling! good luck xx
you can but it will be hard for you more than unsmoker. me and my brother went cyciling for the first time. he do some a pack a day. when we went the first time it was tiring for him more than me althuogh he is younger with 8 years. but do not make that stop you i know that walking is very good to prevent heart & pressure. that will be easy for you start with 15-20 minute then build it up
"...i smoke 30..." you smoke 30 cigs a day, 30 packs a day? you are 30? which is it?

The body is designed to be exercised in moderation every day. You don't have to go at it like a teenager or child. Start with parking farther from the door when you go to work or go shopping, walk in. Set aside ten minutes of your lunch break every day to walk. Gradually increase the time you walk and the distance you walk, and be prepared to be short of breath, if you smoke, you will be. Exercising is a great way to quit smoking by the way, it releases endorphins into the blood that remove the craving for nicotine.
maybe u should stop smoking and get pumping and i don't mean the regular once a day i mean like do it for 4 hours and then take a brake then get right back at it.:c
You will be fine get out there and do something, classes are best for me ? Yoga have enjoyed, but do something
your body will cope trust me.....i am 32 and i smoke, i am trying to quit...but i have worked out for 2 months now and i am toned and it feels great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Just do it. Start out slow. Pick you up a little pair of hand weights (10 - 15 lbs), some Velcro wrap around leg weights (5 or so lbs). Do exercises at home in comfort. Start out slowly and do about 10 repetitions of each routine. Do that daily for about a week, then add 5 more repositions to each routine. Each week keep adding repositions. You'll be fine. I smoke, too, and that's my exercise MO. At least it used to be. I haven't done it in about a year.....I've been trying to talk myself into picking it back up again, and this just may be the incentive I needed. Thanks.
Your body will cope. Just take it easy when you first start out. Stop when you feel any kind of discomfort, but start and do it regularly 5-6 days a week. You will see an improvement very quickly. Just don't jump into anything that's too stressful or too demanding. Also stretch after exercise to keep from getting sore.
I would go see the doctor before you start any exercise regime, he will be able to tell you what is the best exercise to get you going and what you can move onto after a few weeks, but walking is a good one to start off with, just a slow 10 min walk everyday for a week, then build it up by 5 mins each day till you have got to half an hours walk each day, I am pretty much in the same boat as you too, I smoke and have had little exercise too, I have an injury that stops me doing the ruffy tuffy exercises so I just go for a walk each day with my dog and I have lost some weight but better than that my body shape is beginning to change with all the walking I am doing, next on my list is the fags, gonna give it a go from Monday, are you going to try stop too, good luck.
