Should I keep my personal trainer?

Question:
I started working with a trainer about 2 weeks ago. I weight train with him two days a week and he expects me burn 600 calories on the treadmill 5 days a week and eat about 1,200 calories a day when I was probably eating twice that amount. Is this normal? Am I trying to juggle eating right, weight training and cardio all at one time so soon? BTW - I hadn't worked out for 3 months before I started with him. Is he expecting too much too soon or do I just need to get up to speed?

Answers:
no... wht hes saying is right. the way to lose weight is by excercising and eating less. he is pushing you to do so. he is not expecting too much from you at all. if you want to lose weight, you need to step up and do so.

Other Answers:
it is rather extreme, your burning a lot of calories and not consuming very many calories. It is dangerous to lose weight to fast. I'd say educate yourself and do it your way, lose the trainer.
i think you just need to have him set up a PRACTICAL plan for you with eating and working out that fots your body type and schedule and drop him!! it will save u stress and money too . good luck and great effort!!!
