Help! I need some advice and encouragement. to loose 10 kilos but am breastfeeding at the moment?

Question:
I'm going back to work in September and will stop breastfeeding then. I know that it's really hard to loose weight while breastfeeding as i can't diet - but is it possible to do it by using an excercise bike in my apartment?
I started a few days ago and work out for 10mins a day, and was thinking maybe i could increase the time by 5mins per week, will this work, and if so how long before i see any results?

Answers:
I was in the same boat, I fed for 6 months and now am dieting and working out. beleive it or not feeding helps in losing weight, so stick with that. you can't diet but you can eat low fat stuff, your body stored fat during pregnancy to make milk, you need your dairy etc. but not the same calories you needed when you were carrying, so incorporate some salads in your meals. I bought a treadmill, I did 15 minutes morning and night = 30 mins . I am seeing the results now after 6 months of doing this. I have a feeling that our metabolism changes after pregnancy so maybe thats why it takes longer than usual. just stay focused on losing weight without compromising on baby, it will take time but will happen, my doc said to give myself a year, I have a total of 17 kilos to lose, out of which I have lost 6.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

If you were to remove the little darling(s) during checking weight, the numbers would surely improve. Remember that breastfeeding takes up a lot of energy in itself. Think of all the energy that your baby needs to grow, develop and do all that he/she does comes directly from you.

The thing to do is just eat as normal, though healthily. Watch the amount of fat that you eat, and eat good proteins, carbs and fruit and veg. Exercise when you can and your weight should come off.

My wife dropped down to below her pre-pregnancy weight after 6 months by just eating healthily and breastfeeding. The only exercise that she did was the usual walkabout with the buggy everyday and a swim once a week. Oh, and we do live up 3 flights of stairs.

Also, most of the post-natal weight is fluid retention. Since you didn't mention when you gave birth, I can't really say whether part of the weight you're looking to lose is fluid. The fluid will naturally go away as you move about. Improve circulation by keeping active (yes, your exercise bike is good).

Just use a lot of common sense, but don't over do it. Remember you need some rest as well, and more importantly, some you time to do the things that you want to do. Finding time with a new baby is hard enough without having pressure being put on yourself to put in time to exercise. I suppose that's why using walks with the baby, going up stairs instead of the lift (with the baby) is a better way of exercising as it gets it done with the things you're going to do anyway without having to make extra time for it. At first, a exercise bike is a really good idea! Then you can try to change your consuetudes: Don't eat a meal in the evening, if you feel hungry, take fresh vegetables and fruits. Veggies and fruits are very good to replace sweets and candy while TV-watching.
Catchword TV: In the sport channels of your country you can be instructed to do some practices except your exercise bike!
Hope that helps!
