My Chest, Bicep & Tricep workouts are getting me no results any suggestions?

Question:
Chest- flat bench, incline & decline bench, cable flys
Bicep- ez curl, cable curl, hammer curl, Isolation curl * preacher curl
Tricep- push downs, dips, extensions

Answers:
it depends on what type of results you are looking for.

if you want to be cut i suggest you try low weight, high reps.. hight reps being in the 30s. and when you fire your muscles, or ummmm like when you go down on the bench, hold it for a second or two, and then release, or go back up..

if you are going for bulk go high wieght, low rep.. low rep being in the 7 to 12 range.. and do the same, fire your muscles, hold and release.

also with no matter which of the two you decide to do YOU HAVE TO GIVE YOUR MUSCLES REST.. this is how it works

your muscles build from working out. first you work out and "damage your muscles" you break them down, and then your body sends in the proteins to heal them, and about 36 hours after your workout your body will have healed the muscles you "damaged" and the muscle tissue your body replaced will be a fraction of a percentage bigger then it was be4 your workout. if you dont give your body time to heal, then you just keep breaking down already damaged tissue, and your muscle fibers will never grow, so i also suggest you work out at least every other day, and you will notice results alot quicker then if you worked out the same muscles everyday..

GOOD LUCK

Eat lots of junk food and sleep during the time you exercise.

Try adding supplemental protein to your diet and make sure that you are giving your muscles ample rest time between workouts. Recommended that each muscle group get 2-3 days rest between workouts. I think that you probably feel that you should be seeing results sooner than you can realistically expect them. You cannot expect to become "muscle-bound" or even just "well cut" without consistent, patient work. And periods of rest - to grow at the best rate, the muscles need a day off after a day or two of working out. I had good results doing weight training MWF and aerobics S, taking T,Th,Sun off.
