How can I lose weight in a healthy way?

Question:
I'm not overweight. And I've never been. I'm 115lbs and 5'3. I was anorexic not that long ago and I can't lose weight without slipping back into it. My most recent slip was just over a week ago. I'd like to weigh 100 lbs. I don't have a problem with exercise or dieting, I just can't quite get it right.

Answers:
. why are people seriously giving you tips on losing weight? even if it is through healthy means, you don't need tips on losing weight.

and the fact that you were anorexic isn't even the main reason that i say that.. i say that because you are a perfect weight for your height and DO NOT need to lose weight!

Other Answers:
I have a friend 5'3" and she wants to get up to 98 or 105 lbs.

First of all I work out a lot. I'm a medium biuld, if i do a lot of weight training and walking I lose weight like nothing.

** People are so obsessed with weight if you were on Jupiter you'd probrably weight 1000 ponds. Youn need to be more conserned about your health. Most guys don't think skeletons are hot.

You can eat only fruits and vegetables. just don't overeat or starve yourself but you don't really need to lose the weight.

Eat healthy. Create some nice eating habits. Eat what you want when you're hungry. Stop when your full. Be pleased with your body. You could get seriously sick if you starve yourself.

You're really at a very healthy weight right now, but from my own experience the best way to be at the healthiest weight is to be omnivorous. And let your true cravings determine what it is you want to eat. I'm a very firm believer in the idea that humans have a lot of instincts that we largely ignore. The real trick in cravings is to be able to distinguish an actual instinctive craving from a conditioned one. You can re-learn what your instincts are by deliberately noting what you eat and when you eat it and by also paying close attention to how you feel after eating, both physically AND emotionaly.

Also get outside and get the blood flowing EVERY day. I commute to work most days by bicycle which for me is 7 miles each way minimum, depending on what way I decide to go. It seems to make a lot of sense to get physical activity out of necessity instead of doing it to stay in shape because doing it out of necessity or practicality makes it much easier to adhere to.

You'll know you're at a good weight when your weight stops fluctuating. I would suggest not shooting for a specific weight, but a stable weight.

Again this is only from my own personal experience and observations of others.

I went to a nutritionist my Dr sent me to as well as a local diet center, they both had the same program and anyone can follow it. The program is simple.. it's the Food Pyramid and now you can get your own personalized food pyramid, just go to their website for mypyramid. If you would like you can also join my yahoo group for diet & healthy eating habits, to join just go to

Try a cleansing diet! I tried this and lost 10.5 pounds and 17 inches in 9 days. Then I continued it and lost 25 pounds in 5 weeks. This program works to remove the toxins in the body that are stored in the fat cells. You cannot get rid of the fat cells unless you get rid of the toxins. We get toxins from pesticides, preservatives, fast food additives, chemicals, pollution, smoke etc… This was my first experience with cleansing and it worked wonderful!
