Do weights for the upper body shrink the chest?

Question:
i mean will my chest get smaller with weights or no?

Answers:
no it wont...nothing can shrink your chest unless u r planning to get run over by a truck...
Your ribcage cannot shrink...It isn't elastic
when u exhale,it's the intercostal muscles that make it seem like ur chest is shrinking..
If u lift weights,ur chest muscles will get strengthened and toned.
But dont lift anything that is more than 1 1/2 of ur body weight

Other Answers:
No; weight training will add to your muscle mass but will not 'shrink' your chest.
If your talking about boobs than no. Beefing the pectoral muscle will only make the fat stick out more unless the fat is burned off than it will be a bulging pec.
If you are talking about putting weight (fat) around your belly, then I think you will imagine having a smaller chest by comparison - otherwise "no".
weight
not if you life heavy.. but if u lift light and do more reps then ya
you wont shrink the chest size by working out with weights. lose some weight and maybe doing yoga which gives you more leaner muscle mass. read more on weight loss and yoga on this site
