Loosen tight muscles in groin. (Female)?

I want to be more flexible. Will it help to stretch often or what. Tell me so I can start loosening them.

Yoga! You need to lie flat on the floor and bend your legs until your feet meet (the bottom of your feet should be touching) and pull your muscles tight, hold for about 3 to 5 minutes, then bring your legs back up to where your feet are flat on the floor and continue this for at least 30 minutes. This will help to loosen the muscles & tendons in your groin area.

To help get a visual view, picture a frog lying on its back on the lab table just right before you dissect it. notice how the bottom legs are in a position where they are bent but also lying flat on the table.
