I have several questions actually about losing weight?
Question:
So here are my questions:
1. What simple excercises can I do at home?
2. What diet pill is effective and helpful? (are there any that help you burn calories, not just suppress your appitite?)
3. What are good things to eat? (I cannot cook! I don't have the time, so I need easy on the go things)
4. How can I stay motivated and stick to it?
Thank you ssssoooo much to everyone who answers! I really need the help!
Answers:
1. walking is free so park further away when you're shopping and take the stairs. incorporate "power work" into your everyday life... do leg lifts and crunches while your watch tv... squeeze your buns to firm up while you're washing dishes... do arms curls anytime you carry something heavy like groceries or a laundry basket, etc... you'd be surprised how many squats and buns squeezes you can do while you're putting on makeup and doing your hair!
2. there is no diet pill that is effective and helpful, they are full of chemicals that are bad for your organs and heart and don't every really do what they're supposed to do... they aren't regulated by the FDA so they can say whatever they want on the bottle.
3. fruits, veggies, lean protein like chicken (without skin), fish, lean beef.... high fiber cereal like "kashi" brand (can be found in cereal aisle... you can lose up to 15lbs in a year just by switching to a high fiber cereal!!!) and whole grain breads and brown rice. to make foods flavorful and tasty experiment with spices. for quick on the go type food... go for weight watchers or lean cuisine microwave meals (frozen food aisle).
some of my favorites: thick crust pizza, and add some mushrooms and pineapple before i microwave... anything italian, i add some corn before i microwave... prebagged salad (go ahead and buy the fancy more expensive stuff, it has more veggies and you're worth it)... just toss into a bowl and add 1 dollop of dressing, eat while the rest of your meal is in the microwave. Safeway has some meals that are actually 2 or 3 servings so you can get more than one dinner out of it, i like the chicken verde (also great w some corn tossed in) and the glazed chicken the best.
4. have someone you have to be accountable too... like a friend or family member that you have to tell what you ate, if you exercised or not, how many inches or pounds you've gained or lost. when you have to tell someone you cheated, you're less likely to cheat.
hope some of these suggestions help and good for you for taking steps to improve yourself! you're worth it.

i just lost 50lbs, and heres how i did it....first of all you have to cut portions, believe it or not i eat whatever i want, but have included more healthy foods also...at first its hard when cutting portions, but eventually your stomach will "shrink" and you will get full faster, if you can make it through that part of it...youve made it through the hardest part...drink lots of water...as for excercise, walk....i walk 2 miles once or twice a week....its not really that hard...but as human beings we tend to complicate things.....its taken 6 months, but like i said i lost 50 lbs...i won't wish you luck, because its not about luck...if you want to loose weight badly enough you will....if it can work for me it can work for anyone...i tried all those fad diets...they are all a bunch of bs....so like i said cut portions, include more healthy foods, drink water, and excercise a few days a week and you'll be on your way....oh one more thing...have patience...a lot will come off at first, this is water weight, and then slowly but gradually it will start to come off....some weeks it can be frustrating because you seem to loose nothing, but trust me stick to my method, and have patience and it will work...it worked for me.
1- walking/running/jogging....try getting an aerobics/pilates tape and do that........theres lots of simple options if you need some ideas feel free to msg me
2-as much as I dont advice pills 'hot rox' are very good their made by biotest...if you live in the states you can always go with Hot Rox Extreme too(they don't ship them to Canada)
3-just go with raw veggies...soy foods...chicken/tuna...clean food
4-this is the hard one
first off what I think you should do before anything is ...write down a realistic goal
what you should do is measure yourself before you start...as weighing can be misleading because you might be adding muscle and alot of people get discouraged when they see their weight go up after 2-3 weeks of exercising and eating right...but weighing is a good simple indicator too
then after 2 weeks do the weighing/measuring again
why I say 2 weeks is because you're not going to see changes immediately and some people get discouraged when they do the weighing themselves everyday and see very little change
Some simple exercises at home are squats, crunches, pushups, wall sits, etc. I would also recommend getting an exercise video, one with cardio, they are cheap, fast, and you can do it at home before you have to go to work or school.
Don't try diet pills, they are unhealthy and expensive and you will just put the weight back on.
Some good things to eat that are fast is fruit, if you are running out of the house, grab an apple. There are also diet bars that are healthy to eat, or I really enjoy the 100 calorie packs they are now selling. They are a quick snack on the go that's pretty healthy.
To stay modivated, just remember what your ultimate goal is and how much you want to get there. Exercise daily as if it is part of your routine, like brushing your hair or teeth. Also, vary your workouts, like get several different videos so you don't get bored too fast. Most of all, make it fun so you want to stick with it!
1. What simple excercises can I do at home?
Any of the Firm videos -- they just require basic hand weights and nothing works better!!!
2. What diet pill is effective and helpful? (are there any that help you burn calories, not just suppress your appitite?)
Skip em. They are useless. Nothing but a marketing ploy.
3. What are good things to eat? (I cannot cook! I don't have the time, so I need easy on the go things)
I lost a lot of weight on Weight Watchers meals for dinner, a salad or soup for lunch, and oatmeal for breakfast. Have a couple snacks like apples or bananas and diet sodas in between. Tuna on crackers is also good. Hmm, what else. I'm a big fan of the frozen meals if you're short on time. Sandwiches on diet bread (Sara Lee Delightful) are good.
4. How can I stay motivated and stick to it?
Make a list of why you want to lose weight. I love the quote, "I can and will stay in shape for a lifetime. What I don't have to do is get in shape for a lifetime." It will only take a few months, then after that you will be healthier, happier, and hotter! :-P
Good luck!
Hi
Try this simple programme ,it really helped me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck
