Maintaining on Weight Watchers?

Question:
I have seen people lose weight on WW and gain more back. Do you have to spend the rest of your life following the program in order to maintain your weight? Is it possible to maintain through exercise without counting points?

Answers:
I have a friend that lost 60 pounds or something like that on WW. I think she stays on the diet, but she sometimes strays away..Like if you're supposed to have a certain amount of points a day, she'll have more than that sometimes.
If you stay fit through exercise, you could probably be okay. But I'm not sure.

Other Answers:
The point of Weight Watchers is to educate users on how to make permanent lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight. Once you learn what is healthy and what you shouldn't eat, you certainly can maintain without counting. Some people find it easier just to keep counting. Diet is what you eat. No matter what program you are on, if you go back to your old way of eating, you will probably gain weight.
Hi there!

Weight Watchers is not a diet plan, rather it is teaching you a lifestyle. Yes, if you want to be lean, then you will need to watch your calories/points - which is there translation of calories + fiber.

A good looking, healthy, and lean body requires calorie control and an active lifestyle. However, as you get the game, you know better how to control your calories by estimates and listening to your body, this is a lot less laborious.

So yes, you do have to spend the rest of your life paying attention to what you put in your body and how you use it, but no, it is not that difficult once you figure it out.

I wouldn't ditch weight watchers to soon, they do a good job. Once you make your goal and you feel like you got it, then try to maintain for a while on your own.

Good luck!
