Build strength, gain about 20 pounds? Easy, fun ways to go about it?

Question:
Alright so I'm trying to get to a healthy weight, My goal is 20 pounds to gain, and that's at the lower end of the spectrum of the healthy weight for my frame and height.
i
I don't have a gym membership, wont have the money for that for a while, but what other kind of ways can I exercise and build strength and gain weight? My recommendation daily caloric intake is 3700.. Probably twice what I'm used to eating so it'll take a while for me to get used to that.. but I don't just want to get pudgy from eating and not being active.

Answers:
run, push ups, sit ups, pull ups. a lot of tuna, chicken, salads, and turkey. anything w/ a lot of protein and not a lot of fat. it's a lot harder believe it or not to gain "good" weight than it is to loose weight. even harder if your trying to keep your definition while doing it. it's taken me a few months to be at the weight that i want to be at. and it's a constant struggle to keep it up there. it's going to take some time. good luck.

Other Answers:
The easy way is to eat high protein with carbs, 5-6 meals a day, but then if you're not working out, you will look more out of shape than physically fit. If you ask me you're better off 20 pounds less than 20 pounds more of strictly fat. Protein shakes are not the answer, not worth the money.

Get that gym membership.
