Does anyone know a good workout that isn't very long each day? I don't have a lot of time but I want results.

What do you want to accomplish? Just general fitness, build up a specific muscle group, lose weight, or what? Answer that and you'll be 90% of the way to your ideal workout.
As a very general rule, exercise that uses your arms AND legs is better than just one or the other, and exercise that raises your arms over your heart is better than exercise that doesn't (because the heart has to pump harder to push the blood uphill). Which means that if you're stuck indoors and don't have equipment, the humble jumping jack isn't a bad choice. (Hmmm. jumping jacks with a 5-lb dumbbell in each hand? I've never tried that.)
If you have access to a health club, try the elliptical cross-trainers, especially the ones that let you pump with your arms as well as "pedal" with your legs. I find those get my heart rate up faster than treadmills or stationary bikes, and are a more "concentrated" form of exercise, at least for my body and its many flaws and weaknesses. Your mileage may vary.
From my personal experience, though, I haven't found anything that is as intensive, complete, and thorough as martial-arts practice. Kicking and punching for half an hour, either alone or with a partner, is incredibly intense, especially if you have a heavy bag to provide some resistance. I've been teaching my 15YO daughter her next form lately while we are at the gym, and just minutes of walking across the floor doing reverse punches gets me more winded than half an hour on the elliptical.

I'd recommend getting one of those workout balls; try the one from the GoFit company. Pretty easy to use, but if you get one, make sure it comes with the DVD. It's a great quick workout for core strength; works upper, lower, and abs. You'll feel it the next day!! well working out is a very time consuming activity, but what I personally like to do is multitask like I like to read so I will do something with my legs while i am reading such as leg lifts or scissors or even something abdominal.. also i enjoy watching tv so ill do sit ups with my toes under my couch and watch tv at the same time.. um.. the fact that you were working out but it didn't work out is terrible. I would recommend eating a fat conversion bar beforehand so that instead of burning muscle cells which will also give you a lot of fatigue you will burn fat cells.
Try running in the morning for 15 minutes and work up to 30 minutes. Or get some dumbbells and a work out bench (and an at home exercise book would be a big help) and try doing compound exercises like bench press, squats, shoulder lifts, romanian deadlifts and situps. Twenty minutes is good enough and then take your morning shower and you'll be good for the rest of the day. If you work out alot split upper body exercise and lower body exersises to make sure the muscles are able to rebuild. Keep in mind that more muscle burns more fat.
